DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJohnny Burgin Blues Revue 10/21/23 Bridging the Blues Across Eras and Continents Featuring Chicago’s Legendary Blues Vocalist Mary Lane,  Randy McAllister; Peter Nande; and Marie Martens of Sweden 7:30 PM at Skokie Theatre\n\n\n\nSkokie, IL – Johnny Burgin Blues Revue Featuring Vocalist Mary Lane, plus Randy McAllister, Peter Nande and Marie Martens will be Saturday October 21, 2023, 7:30 PM at Skokie Theatre 7924 Lincoln Ave, Skokie, IL 60077. Tickets are $25; all ages show. \n\n\n\nAt this concert, Burgin is joined by Chicago’s Mary Lane, an 87-year-old blues singer who “is finally getting the attention that she deserves,” says Chicago Blues Guide. Also performing are Randy McAllister, a Texas blues artist; Peter Nande, a blues harmonica player from Denmark; and Swedish slide guitar queen Marie Martens. They’ll all be backed by Johnny’s longtime road rhythm section of Stephen Dougherty, drums, and Marie Martens on bass.\n\n\n\nThis show will include a Tail Dragger Memorial show; there is a free Tail Dragger CD included with ticket purchase, courtesy of Delmark Records. After years of playing in Chicago, Burgin struck out to the West Coast and points beyond in 2016.
